Description

We're a company focused on games with simple mechanics and a small scope. Our initial concepts are evolutions of intersectional innovation, our final products are juicy and polished. We're currently exploring touch screen games.

History

Early History

Shovelware Games was founded by Jake Sones who had previously designed for such powerhouses as Sony, Insomniac, and Blizzard during his 15 year tour-of-duty in the AAA game space. These large studios provided an amazing education in every aspect of development and instilled an appreciation for creating incredibly polished games. The skills and knowledge acquired during that period formed the drive behind every title by Shovelware Games. As the first prototype was nearing completion, it became obvious that the art could not simply be contracted out. A great period of searching began, and eventually a second age would begin.

The Second Age

After the mountains crumbled and the seas rose, Jake finally found an artist worthy of helping him birth Shovelware's first gamechild. That artist was Dave Peixoto, ten year animation and game development veteran. Bolstered by Dave's experiences at Microsoft, Glu Mobile, and Valve, the team charged forward. Newly invigorared, they stand on the precipice of launching their first title with eyes full of hope and hands full of brains.
